I just had the entire exterior of my house and detached garage painted by Refined Painting. It is an older home, had a LOT of prep work that needed to be done and these guys spent a lot of time prepping it thoroughly before even thinking about painting. They were extremely patient in my taking time to decide colors, etc, I never felt rushed or pressured and they were open to any requests/feedback I had. Good communication all along the way. Even after paining they went back and sanded and re-painted some areas they were not happy with. The price was very fair, and they are a very nice, local, family business. Very happy and satisfied with the results and would definitely recommend.

I'm the manager of a local health club and had deiced we needed some color on the walls to add to the energy of the club. James and Jim took their time going over what i wanted and actually helped me pick and choose the right color's for the club. It looks amazing!!!! Their work is outstanding, very professional very knowledgeable and all around nice people.

My husband and I have had our house, cottage, garage and deck painted inside and out by Refined Painting.  Jim and James are the best painters around.  They repaired damaged ceilings and window frames and made them look as good as new.  They take great pride in their work  I am very particular and they always please me.  They also painted our other house in San Carlos. I don't even ask for other bids. They are our painters.

I recently called about a dozen places to get a price quote on painting our living room and kitchen.  Refined painting was by far the most competitive priced.  Beyond that though, James was very accommodating on the phone in scheduling a time that worked for my wife and I.  They were able to get both the living room and kitchen done in a timely manner, while still taking the time to do it right.  Our place looks fantastic, and I can without a doubt say they exceeded my expectations in all areas.  I would highly recommend them to anyone!

James and his dad are reasonably priced, tidy and efficient. They did a lovely job painting my kitchen cabinets and cabinet doors and I couldn't be more pleased.

We recently engaged Refined Painting & Decorating to do work on the exterior of our house and detached unit. James provided an estimate to handle the job in several stages, which included the eaves, fascia and walls. We also needed to have the surfaces or our house as well as a large brick patio pressure washed.

James was patient as I outlined our rather complex requirements, including breaking the job into several stages to help accommodate our budget timing.

It was a big job--probably more than he estimated, but he honored the price he quoted and did an excellent job. I was impressed with his crew's thoroughness and attention to detail. The paint was applied evenly with no dripping or overspray, and it looks so much better than before!

I gained respect for James' integrity and commitment to do quality work. It's not something you always find with contractors these days. I highly recommend them!
